I’m going crazy

We talked about cars going crazy because of some random Macbook (Click here for the first post). Randomness is a strange thing in our lives but a silent force to reckon with!

I think there are at least 3 things we can do about it:

  1. I am all out for lucky charms. Call it placebo effect but we do need some kind of Dumbo’s magic feather. It can’t be bad if it’s good for us. Top athletes usually have something they call a confidence anchor. Clenching fist with a thumping yes is a classic confidence anchor. So every time you score or succeed, you hold that thought a little longer and anchor it (by clenching your fist + shouting yes). After some time, you ‘trick’ your brain by clenching your fist whenever you are nervous/ not confident. Observe your favourite athlete next time.
  2. Let us not misquote randomness for hardwork. We have to work hard to succeed. There’s no two ways about it.
  3. If randomness is a given, then we should try to be in the flow, i.e. let us occasionally be random.
