What Makes You Happy?

Daniel Kahneman, the famous psychologist explained that we have two selves, (a) the experiencing self and (b) the remembering self.  The experiencing self lives in the present and is only concerned with the present moment while the remembering self is like the judge who decides everything for us.

The Elephant and The Rider

I first read about the concept of the rider and the elephant in Switch by Chip and Dan Heath. From that book I traced the source back to a guy called Jonathan Haidt, the author of The Happiness Hypothesis. He has been teaching psychology using this concept for more than a decade now.
